The ultimate site about the king of the analogue age
To coincide with the Xmas business "O Come, All Ye Faithful" was released on December 6, 2013. The duet of Susan Boyle and Elvis Presley wasn't all that successful and stagnated at number 48 of the UK Chart. In the US it didn't chart at all. The lack of commercial success was quite sad, because the revenue was donated to Save The Children (UK) and the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation (USA).
Today "O Come, All Ye Faithful" is available on the streaming platforms in Hi-Res. The success of the digital incarnation mirrors the one of the physical release. On Spotify the track barely accumulates a million streams.
O Come, All Ye Faithful
The duet was produced by Cliff Masterson and Steve Anderson for Synco/Sony Music. Elvis had taped "O Come, All Ye Faithful" in 1971, Susan Boyle recorded her part in 2013. Compared to the king's original version, the new one sounds less bombastic. Because the track was beneficial for children, the accordant video basically showed kids. Susan Boyle acts more or less as an extra, Elvis is symbolyzed by a boy in a jumpsuit.
Silent NightThis is a solo recording by Susan Boyle.
