In March 2016 Follow That Dream released a set of two compact discs named "The West Coast Tour '76". The sound carriers were housed in a 5" fold-out digipak, which featured pictures from that tour. The audio quality is better than the usual soundboard recordings. Maybe because Felton Jarvis feared to loose another pianist, the instrument was recorded on a separate track. At the time Elvis didn't rehearse anymore, so a possible new bandmember had to use these tapes to learn the songs. "The West Coast Tour '76" features the concerts on November 29th and 30th. Because the first show wasn't recorded in its entirety, Follow That Dream Records added a few bonus tracks. The audio was mastered by Jan Eliasson and mixed by Jean-Marc Juiland.

Verdict

Compared to other concerts from 1976 Elvis' voice sounds good, but he's obviously in energy-saving mode.
