James Burton (guitar), John Wilkinson (guitar), Charlie Hodge (guitar and harmony vocals), Jerry Scheff (bass), Ronnie Tutt (drums), Tony Brown (piano), David Briggs (keyboard) and The Joe Guercio Orchestra. The harmony vocals were provided by The Sweet Inspirations (Myrna Smith, Sylvia Shemwell & Estelle Brown), J.D. Sumner & The Stamps (Larry Strickland, Ed Hill, Ed Enoch & Ron Booth) as well as Kathy Westmoreland and Sherrill Nielsen.
Due to Elvis' tight financial condition there had been a short, hastily organized tour in March. Because the king still was in need of money and everything had worked quite well, Management III and RCA Record Tours set up another small concert trip in April. Ronnie Tutt was lured back, but Glen D. Hardin still refused to re-join the band. So Elvis booked Tony Brown, who had already worked with JD Sumner & The Stamps. Because the tour was arranged on the spur of the moment, Joe Guercio wasn't available to conduct the orchestra. The task was handed over to Mary Harrell, Mr. Guercio's right hand man. Once again Elvis did without any rehearsals. Still he re-activated "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)", "My Way" and "Help Me". His wardrobe consisted of the "Blue Egyptian Bird Suit", the "White Egyptian Bird Suit", the "V-Neck Suit" and the "Chicken Rib Suit". Right after the tour, the group flew to Stateline/Nevada, where Elvis began another engagement at Del Webb's Sahara Tahoe Hotel on April 30th.
